Reusable Produce Bags

It's no secret that single-use plastics are wreaking havoc on our oceans, beaches, and wildlife. When I went to Bali to get certified to become a yoga instructor, I was appalled at the amount of trash that was piled up on the beautiful Balian Beach where I was staying. Plastic takes literally hundreds of years to break down. In that time, a single-use plastic item might be mistaken for food by a sea turtle, or a fish, or a whale, and cause injury, entrapment, or even death to an animal. While the tide is beginning to turn - albeit very slowly - there are still so many more things we all can do to reduce our usage of single-use plastics.

One easy way to show our oceans some love is to take our own produce bags to the grocery store when we shop! These cotton mesh produce bags are reusable, washable, and far more aesthetically pleasing than plastic grocery bags. Use them to protect vegetables, fruits, nuts, and meat or fish wrapped in wax paper.
